On July 13, 2017, Quest for the Best® toured the giraffe exhibit at the Elmwood Park Zoo, (www.elmwoodparkzoo.org), and we were amazed at the size and grace of these beautiful animals. While there, we evaluated a recent grant request from the Zoo, requesting funding to transform the current bare walls of the waiting queue for the zoo’s incredible giraffe-feeding experience into the “Karibu Hut”. The plan is to create an immersive, museum-esque educational exhibit of replica skulls, African tribal artifacts, and digital educational signage designed to immerse visitors in the lands and culture of the world’s tallest animal. Upon return from our “adventure”, the board approved the most recent grant application.
