Because of a grant from QUEST FOR THE BEST® , the attendees of La Salle University’s (www.lasalle.edu) annual Autism Conference on May 5, 2017, were privileged to listen to an inspirational speech from Kerry Magro, age 28. Kerry is an award-winning disability advocate, best-selling author, movie consultant, non-profit founder, and full-time employee at a nonprofit in digital marketing. What makes these achievements exceptional is that he was largely nonverbal until he was 2 and a half, and was diagnosed with autism at the age of 4. Today, Kerry speaks from the heart about his experiences on the autism spectrum and his efforts to help others overcome such obstacles. Kerry credits much of his progress to his parents and believes that a great deal of his success is because of them.
